BP9_2010041_Web 2.0 tool3
I have done it again! I have found the best Web 2.0 tool by far. The site is called classtools.net. Classtools.net provides free, customizable flash templates to embed into blogs, wikis and websites. There is no signup, passwords, and charges. Each template can be saved as a stand-alone html file or as a widget that can be embedded into a blog or wiki - as long as it is non-commercial. However, downloaded html files still need to communicate with the Class Tools server and therefore require a computer to have an Internet connection.
I played around with this site had so much fun. If I enjoyed I am pretty sure my student will to. The student or teacher creates questions for video games there are several choices. There is Manic Miner, Matching Pairs, Canon Ball Fun, and Wordshoot. There is a virtual story where the student or teacher can copy or create an original story then share with the class. For you History teachers, there is a tool for you to make a timeline. This will be useful for marking events in time. For Math, Science, Reading teachers there is a template for a Venn diagram. This will be help with compare and contrast and number sets. During testing or maybe you are having a timed test, this site has you covered. It was a count down time.
This site is filled with tools the aid in the educational process. This is a very user-friendly Web 2.0 tool learner and educators will enjoy.

BP5_2010041_Web 2.0 tool
I have found another excellent web 2.0 tool called quizlet. Quizlet is a tool that makes learning vocabulary fun. A lot of teachers assign vocabulary to students, but few students actually hold on to words into their vocabularies after they take their test. It’s like they just study for the test and do not retain the words. Quizlet makes learning fun, thus make learning effective. Quizlet is free to all users.
With Quizlet you can easily create flashcard sets with as many questions and answers as you want. Import questions and answers from your computer or other websites or just type them in directly. Cut and paste questions from other peoples' flashcard sets to make your own. Invite friends to share your flashcards via email, Face book, or MySpace. You can also one-click lookup of official dictionary definitions, and other users' previous answers.
This is an excellent source for teachers. We can give our students a study tool that's both powerful and fun, encouraging them to become life long learners. Teachers can share study materials online with your classes, or generate photocopy-ready flashcards for in-class distribution. We can host a group where your students can create and discuss study materials for your class. We can send email to student when you've posted new study materials, and receive messages back from them. And for collaboration, teachers can see what other teachers are teaching at your grade level and in your subject area.
I believe this tool would work best for grade 3 and above.

BP4_2010041_Web 2.0 tool
I wanted to find a Web 2.0 tool that would help me with my master’s program and I think I have found it. Wepapers claims to be the largest study group. WePapers is a place where students and everybody can expand their knowledge and share their wisdom, for free. It’s good to know that you are not alone in the struggle. This tool is going to make my educational experience a whole lot easier. With this tool you are able to find, read, print and download tons of quality documents, exam and textbook solutions and cheat-sheets for anything you study in college or university. You can store all your papers, exams, lecture notes and research work in one place, and get organized. You have use of all your information 24 hours a day 7 days a week from all over the world. This tool is amazing. It covers over 30 subjects and other subcategories. Language is not a barrier for this tool. It include over 13 languages. Whatever your research and writing needs are, this tool has it. Writing is a real challenge for me because the ideas are there but I cannot seem to get them on paper. This tool can give you tips and you can view documents similar to your work and get help. The best part is this is a community of learners helping one another. You share ideas, work, and suggestion. Building friendship and bond that will last a lifetime. “Whether to help you graduate with honors or just win an argument, WePapers to help make you smarter, much smarter.”(wePapers 2010)

BP3_2010041_RSS Feeds for Professional Purposes
Education Technology
The RSS feed is keeps up with the changing technologies, issues and related developments in education, distance education, and online learning. This is necessary to maintain up-to-date resources for students. As an educator I feel that it’s my responsibility to be on the cutting edge of Educational Technology. Especially since my degree it centered on it.
Federal Resources for Educational Excellence
The best thing I like about this RSS feed is that the resources are free. Some time teachers don’t have the budget to get everything they desire. They include resources for Math, Science, Art, World History, and Language Art. This feed has you cover and has more than 1,500 federally supported teaching and learning resources are included from dozens of federal agencies. This fee would benefit any educational professional looking for free resources.
Improving Public School and Public Education
I selected this feed because it centers around my action research. I hope to get plenty ideas on how to accurately get collect all the facts to get the true picture of my project. This RSS feed is place where kids and parents, teachers and administrators, policy makers and the people they serve, all are empowered to change education for the better.
Primary Games
This is a very colorful and interesting feed. It include two pages of educational game. I believe my student will really enjoy. What really caught my attention is that author designed the games and others would designers can submit their games. This is another venture I am interested in. I also want to design education games.

BP2_2010041_Educational Uses for Blogs
During my research, I have found several educational uses for blogs. I personally have not used blogs but I am looking forward to incorporating them as an educational professional and possibly for a business enterprise.
Blogs are a way that educators can collaborate outside of the school. Educators will have duel access whether it is at their place of abode or professional environment to read, discuss and learn more about current events in education. Information could be shared, articles discussed, questions asked and suggestions made all on the web.
Blogs are also being used to connect classrooms and schools all over world. Students can connect with other students in and out of the classroom. Classrooms can connect with other classrooms. A class can communicate with a scientist. There are endless possibilities of communication. The beauty of this is that all can take place within a school, within a grade level or across grade levels. Weblogs are also being used as portfolios to collect students’ work such as writing samples, works of art, and other school based work.
Weblogs can also be an instructor or a professor’s tool. They are able to post their course content such as a syllabi, assignments and their due dates, links to articles for reference, research and study. Elementary school teachers can use them for lesson plans. Their students and parents would be informed of upcoming quizzes or test, parent-teacher conferences, homework, field trips, and other reminders. This will better facilitate communication between home and school. Blogs also enable teachers to post and update materials with more ease, effectiveness, flexibility and freedom.
"Through the use of blogs, it is suggested that teachers and learners are becoming empowered, motivated, reflective and connected practitioners in new knowledge environments. The balance between individualised and centralised technologies is restored."(Farmer 2005)
